Battle for Blingdenstone(Recap from 7-21-23)

The party met at “The Foaming Tap" on the morning of Whelson the 2nd of Misuthar to continue making battle plans. It was decided to split the party with Flink, Uthemar, Neheedra, and Shiril helping the Deep gnomes with the main diversionary battle against the Oozes, Jellies, Slimes and Gelatinous Cubes. Armed with spell gems containing a 7th level Dawn Spell, and many gallons of flammable oil. The plan was to engage the Oozes in the sunken cavern inside the 120 foot wide hollowed out ancient pearl where the Jellies and Oozes seemed to be congregating. As the battle starts, it should draw the rest of the Oozes into that area where they will be trapped by the Dawn spells being cast on all the exits. Then the Deep Gnomes will flood the cavern with oil which then would be ignited by Fireballs. That conflagration would kill all the demonically possessed Oozes with the dawn spells killing any that tried to escape the flames.

At the same time while the battle hopefully distracted the Pudding King the rest of the party snuck in and dealt with the Pudding King. The group was hoping by killing the Pudding King it would throw the remaining Oozes into chaos and confusion. This was the bold plan.

As the battle started, the oozes rushed to the sunken cavern as the party had hoped, while the rest of the party ran in and confronted the Pudding King, after a short but fierce battle the slimy King was vanquished, but in his death throws he managed to summon Jubilex the Faceless Lord, who appeared in the summoning/ teleportation circle of the Stoneheart Enclave. A fierce battle ensued with the heroes emerging victorious. The loot from the Pudding King and his minions was:

(1x) Jubilex Slime Orb: worth 5000 gp (Jubilex Gem)

On completion of the battle, the gnome leaders made good on their promise, giving the characters each a stone of controlling earth elementals along with the gratitude of their people.

There was then a huge celebration and the party was honored as heroes of Blingdenstone, following all the festivities the party once again rested in “The Foaming Mug” Inn and had a acefull long rest recuperating from both the battle and the festivities after the battle.

The next day (Conthsen the 3rd of Misuthar) the group bid the Svirfniblin farewell and set off to find Vizeran’s Tower Ajara. After a half day of travel Mallik noticed some strange wards cast on the cavern floor, they looked like an arcane mine field. Seeking to bypass the “mines” the party scaled a ten foot tall cliff on a side passage to the left.

The climbing noise alerted the bandits who were laying in wait ready to ambush folks in the “minefield” of wards. The bandits quickly hid hoping to ambush the party. The element of surprise was lost, and prior to combat the bandits demanded a toll of 1000 gp to allow the party to pass.

Corin, being angered by the bandits, nocked an arrow while everyone prepared for combat initiative. The battle began but had to be finished in the next session.

Total loot: Coins and harvested materials: divided amongst the nine party members came too, 2036 gp each. Plus each gets a stone of controlling earth elementals.

Magic Items: 2 spell books, Potion of Poison, 2 spell scrolls (conjure minor elementals and speak with plants), a varnished nothic eye that functions as a crystal ball of true seeing that can be used only once.
