Leaving Alfield Again (Recap from 11-25-22)

(Yulisen the 1st of Sydenstar) Upon coming downstairs for Breakfast, the party ran into Sam Tiler talking with Lady Elena Key, owner of the town's Bath and Beauty Spa, and Galen the Smithy was having some breakfast with Lady Eva. Lyquin busied herself cooking with her two helpers and making a pretty good black pudding. Arabella, Frick, and Frack, have all retired for the day. Three courtesans and five chamber maids are having breakfast and chatting, some after having worked all night. The other maids were getting ready to start their day cleaning the rooms and doing laundry. The other courtesans are either getting ready to retired for the day or were already sleeping.

Abner took his war horse Wilbur to Galen to get new shoes and make sure he was ok for the trip to Hupperdook. The rest of the party bought riding horses at "On the Wind Stables" from Durmas. They inquired about caravan escort jobs and found a caravan heading out in a few hours. Abner donated a sack of copper coins to the Alfield Orphanage and Alice McKinnon was very grateful. Anwen Pendry and Brewala Sutan were visiting at the time and cast bless on the party as they left.

There were several caravans lining up for the journey to Hupperdook through Felderwin carrying spirits ale and smoked fish and meats, for the end of Harvest Festival coming up in a couple months. In the main square there was a young girl (Evie Davis) selling flowers for a copper piece, and a small boy (Kavvin Davis) shining boots, for one copper piece (Both usually stay at the Orphanage). The trip the caravan will take is seven days from Alfield to Felderwin, and another nine days from Felderwin to Hupperdook.

(Da'Leysen the 2nd of Sydenstar) First day of travel was easy with no encounters, but that night around midnight the party saw a group of figures in white robes slowly crossing the road on their way to a feast. They silently motioned for the person on watch to come along with them, but Unknown to that person the feast was being held in a fae circle half on prime plane and half in Feywilde. If anyone ate or drank while in the fae circle they would become charmed and not want to leave. But the party member on watch did not follow the figures so the encounter was avoided.

(Miresen the 3rd of Sydenstar) The second day of travel was uneventful with no encounters. Night came and during the four watches there were no encounters.

(Grissen the 4th of Sydenstar) The third day of travel around noon the caravan encounters a broken cart with several dead bodies and two dead horses that look freshly killed in a roadside ambush. It was really a double ambush set up by the Bandits, and it caught the group of adventures off guard. The ambush went as the bandits had planned, but after a heated battle, the party came out victorious. That night there were no encounters and the group had a much needed uninterrupted long rest.

(Whelson the 5th of Sydenstar) On the fourth day of travel the party had an easy day with no encounters. That night was uneventful as well with no encounters.

(Conthsen the 6th of Sydenstar) The fifth day of travel there were also no encounters. That night was uneventful with no encounters.

(Folsen the 7th of Sydenstar) On the sixth day of travel the party encounters a group of prostitutes in a cart. They asked the adventure party to help them deliver their supply of Oloore root tea to a Hupperdook brothel. If the party helps, they will then give them some of the Oloore tea. (The imbiber will experience vivid hallucinations for up to four hours. During this experience, imbiber has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks. Sometimes the hallucinations become horrific visions and the user gains a level of exhaustion. But sometimes they gain an opportunity to cast the Scrying spell at will for the next four hours.) That night there were no, out of the ordinary, encounters.

(Yulisen the 8th of Sydenstar) On the seventh day of travel the caravan reaches Felderwin. The travel through the surrounding farmland was uneventful with no encounters. The party gets rooms in The Goose Down Tower Inn, as the caravan is set up for the night while planning to leave for Hupperdook the next day after breakfast.

(Da'Leysen the 9th of Sydenstar) The party sold some loot gained along their travels and Abner paid off the loan against his armor. Corin bought some studded leather armor that was magical. Abner's sister came to Felderwin looking for him to tell him his father was looking for him so he could send another group into battle for the crown with Abnar leading them. After meeting with the Marquis Jenna Iresor and showing her an amulet one of the supposed Kryn attackers wore, She wrote a letter absolving the Invictus estate from sending further conscripts. Abner's sister said she would take that letter to their father. With that done the party followed Abner to Thimble Works by Sherilyn and Abner introduced his Sister to Sherilyn Pebbletosser who agreed to make a formal gown for his sister the same color scheme as Abner's suit Blue and White. After that they went back to the Inn for supper and rest.
