Beginning of the session (Whelson the16th of Brussundir) Abnar Invictus joined the party doing a job providing security escort to a caravan traveling from Trostenwald, with the promise of gold for escorting them safely to Nicodranas.
The trip started out (Whelson the 16th of Brussundir) uneventful, but soon they encountered a group of bandits and managed to defeat them, but during the fight Marasil, the Lady Arabella’s daughter,(who was a half hill giant half kryn teenager) went into a catatonic state due to a fear reaction from her childhood trauma. After the fight was concluded, she told the party of how a Dwindallian Empire patrol had wiped out the unit of Kryn soldiers who were escorting her safely back to Rosohna. The young Kryn soldier, who was to be a foster mother to Marasil, was killed by a Dwindalian arrow. Her last act was quickly pushing the child into the thick underbrush in hops the soldiers would not find and kill the half giant child. Due to the horrific events soldiers in armor terrify Marisil and combat sometimes triggers her to go into a catatonic state. The leader of the bandits used a magic necklace to escape while all the other bandits died.
After that the party reached the Wuyun Gates, (Conthsen the 17th of Brussundir) and were questioned by the guards. Marasil nearly had a panic attack because all the guards were clad in plate armor, but after a blessing by Corovar, she managed to keep it together. After passing through the gates they continued their travels.
While starting out one morning (Folsen the18th of Brussundir) , the party heard the sounds of battle coming from ahead of them on the road. After a stealth scouting mission, they saw the aftermath of a fierce attack on the caravan that was a mile or two in front of the party's caravan. Malik and Corin followed the bloody trail and soon found an Ettin encampment with two large Ettins in the process of eating two of the caravans' horses. Malik was very stealthy, quiet as a cat on the prowl, but Corin fumbled at being stealthy armor clinking as he stumbled. Thankfully the Ettins were too busy arguing over their meal to notice the sound. The two made it back to the Caravan and decided to break camp early, attempting to sneak by the Ettin encampment. As they were sneaking by, the Ettins heard the caravan and gave chase. Since the party had a pretty big head start, they out distanced the Ettins escaping the fate that befell the previous caravan.
The group continued their journey (Yulisen the19th of Brussundir) and had a terrifying sighting of an ancient red dragon flying overhead heading southwest toward the Ashkeeper peaks. Fortunately for the party, the dragon didn't notice them. A short time later they ran into a couple wounded adventurers dragging a crafted travois carrying the three burned bodies of their fallen comrades. The party healed the adventurers, but had no resurrection spells for the fallen. The group decided to give the adventurers and their fallen comrades a ride to Nicodranas, and dropped them off at the Temple complex so they could seek out a cleric. The party then delivered the caravan to the market center and were paid 50gp each for the successful caravan trip. The party got rooms at the Lavish Chateau, but while The Ruby of the Sea was there, she wasn't performing that night. As they were eating their meal that evening, they did see Jester, a blue tiefling, and Fjord, a green skinned half orc, go upstairs to where the staff rooms were. Later after eating, they found out the sky ship from Marquet was due to arrive in a couple days. Marasil decided to go into the kitchen of the Lavish Chateau to help out the kitchen staff and maybe trade recipes. the rest of the group enjoyed resting in the Lavish Chateau.
