After the Underdark (Recap from 9-22-23)


(Miresen the 17th of Thunsheer) The group was invited to a feast at the royal palace as honored guests of King Brock Dummaroff and his daughter Eldeth and her friend Yirna. There were a lot of feasts and celebrations in honor of the trade routes finally being opened to Mantol Derith, and prosperity returned to Grimgolier. The stories of the hucksters heroes adventures group were told over and over as well as their success celebrated. After celebrating as much as they could, the group returned to their clan hall to relax and talk about the events of the past few months. Abnar checked on the profits from the Invictus pipeweed distributorship in Gringolir, while Mallik received a cryptic message from Ophelia as well as a delivery of 3 weeks worth of profit sharing for his help and discretion supporting the myriads dealings in the Drow city of Menzoberranzan. Also the myriad had made a special deal to buy the Drow prisoner Drivena for 2400 gp, and have her transported to the myriad compound in Mantol-Derith.Drivena was the prisoner and friend who helped Corin when he was a boy to escape from the underdark by sacrifice herself so that Corin could go free.


The next day they made their way to Zedash to do some shopping and pick up two additional enchanted Teleport Circle Dialing Devices to control links between several teleport circles. While back at Grimgolir, Abnar had commissioned some statues to be carved by the skilled stoneworker clan of Dauthorn Brightmantle. Corin picked up a bag of remote delivery from Pumot Sol, as well as getting a new enchantment on his acid arrow to be able to choose Necrotic energy  instead of Acid damage. Mallik bought two vorple shortswords for 100,000 gp designed and crafted from alloys dating back to the age of arcanum.



Next they teleported to Rexxuntrum and were treated to a feast in the royal throne room and were shocked to see a very pregnant Svella had married the aging King Bertrand Dwendal confirming the vision the group saw of her with a son in the great library in the underdark. They also learned that when the king's first son found out about his father marrying Svela, he took a sizable portion of the royal treasury and disappeared. 


Albert returned to the palace for the celebration feast stating that he was chosen to go on an expedition to Ank'Harel to investigate a prophecy scroll discovered in some ruins in the deep desert of Rumedam. The scroll appears to date back to the time before the calamity. And offered to include the group in the expedition, if they were willing to travel along and provide protection to the Archivists accompanying Expositor Albert.



After receiving some messages from the Crown and a silver chest to be delivered to the Bright Queen of Xhorhas, the group traveled via teleportation to Grimgolir and received a message there, as well, to be delivered to the Kryn. Rindar teleported the group to Den Hythenos and arranged for an audience with the bright queen. During the meeting the Queen opened the chest from King Dwendal only to see it was a Luxon beacon similar to the one Elmo had in his possession. The message was an invitation to travel to Rexxentrum for a royal trade summit. King Brock Dummaroff also offered an invitation to Grimgolier to become a trade partner and to become the center of surface trade to the underdark. There was a celebration and a formal dinner with the Kryn council of Dens, followed by a tour of the city ending up in Den Hythenos for quiet conversations and an offer to use their teleport circle. 


The group was introduced to Alton of Den Hythenos who watches over the circle. The group was offered lodging for the night and Rindar exchanged pipeweed with Abnar, and they smoked as Rindar explained the religion of the Luxon and the purpose of the beacons.  Chardelyn and a group of Kryn from two other Dens were selected to lead an evangelical mission to try and bring the word of the Luxon to the Drow of Ruhn-Shak saving them from the influences of Lolth, and Tharizdun as he began whispering to the drow nobility driving them to madness.


The group's invitation from Albert and the Cobalt Soul, would have the party traveling on a sky ship from the soon to be finished Rexxuntrum Sky Tower, to Port Damali, on to Ank'Harel. With a layover and resupply in Emon. Chardalyn’s group could tag along, getting off at the stop in Emon where they would begin their mission to Ruhn-Shak, while the heroes journeyed on to Ank’Harel with the cobalt soul. The group retired for the evening under the hospitality of the Den Hythenos.


Loot: Each party member received a 1000gp diamond as payment from Ophelia Mardoon.
